When either is lacking, your people will fail to hit their potential. A lot of times when you are stagnated it is because you are in a competitive situation and you are not winning the competitive arguments and sales. There's a limited space and to steal market share you have to come up with a better story.

Any good story is supported by proofs that correspond to your killer points. Often people go out to sell and say they don't have a proof for them and get shot down by the customer. When they have the adequate proofs they have the trust. We are more trustworthy than the competitor.

Two big things with communication. One is the way you are communicating is distracting people from your message. The other is communicating them to really buy into your message. You want to make sure they're not screwing things up and you want to make sure they're doing it well. We want to build a long term sales relationship. If you're going to grow to 10 million, you need a trusting base.

If the way I'm communicating is not consistent with the message I'm trying to send, it is not only distracting it is conflicting with the message and people will not trust it. You need consistency in performance and consistency in communication.
